Some days you just have to put your head down 'n take the beating.....

Tuesday morning, August 25, in the year of our Lord, 2015…a beautiful sunny day but I got a gloom hanging over me ’n I don’t think there’s enough sunshine in the world to brighten my world today…..
See, I’m scheduled to have my old poodle dog killed today. Put down or put to sleep, is the approved term but what it means is death…An appointment with Death at 2:00 pm on a Tuesday afternoon….
He’s old, he’s pretty damn blind ’n pretty damn deaf.  He falls off the porch if I don’t keep an eye on him ’n sometimes he falls even when I’m trying to stop him from falling.  This morning he got a leg caught under a cabinet.  All he would have had to do was pull the leg out but he couldn’t figure it out how to do it for himself so he cried until I was able to get in there to take his leg out and pick him up.  People, poodles are smart dogs.  He also, and this is the worst part, doesn’t remember to let somebody know when he has to relieve himself so if he isn’t watched carefully, he’ll pee or poop right where he is.

He was a pretty dignified elderly poodle dog for a couple years and a good friend but  there ain’t no such thing as dignity in death.

A bunch of liberal idiots are trying to get the California legislature (also a bunch of liberal idiots) to pass a law legalizing ‘assisted suicide’ in the State of California.  I think the biggest reason they want to do it now is because they passed such a law in the Peoples Republic of Oregon and we certainly don’t want to fall behind Oregon but, of course, they don’t say that…No, what they talk about is that people should be able to control their own lives and their own death and they talk about death with dignity.
It’s all a crock, of course, ‘cause there ain’t no dignity in death.
Every socialist and communist country wants to do the same thing, not as a means of offering the option of assisted suicide as being a means to death with dignity, but as a means of curtailing the life of any person who has lived so long that they have become a drain on resources.  That’s the real reason, though none of them will admit to it.
Well, a fellow by the name of Ezekiel Emmanuel (Rham’s brother, don’cha know ’n the Dr. Death for the Obama administration) did admit to it when he stated that people over 70 years old should just be put down like you would for an old dog.  Of course, he went on, there would be exceptions for some very elite people (like himself) that could continue to contribute to society.  I think most high schoolers read this in Geo Orwell’s Animal Farm but the liberal tend to forget that or else they just believe that they will be part of the elite that would be excepted from a mandated death.
It’s like the ‘death panels’ that Sarah Palin talked about and that all the liberal pundits mocked her for….problem was, Sarah was right.  Obamacare did call for death panels, they just didn’t call them death panels but we all know, as Shakespeare so famously stated, “A rose by any other name is still a rose.”
I don’t want to kill my dog. I undoubtedly will but I don’t want to ’n I ain’t gonna like myself very much afterwards but I’ll probably do it. Everyone keeps telling me that I’d be doing him a favor, that his quality of life suggests that he’d be better off dead.  I’m finding it hard to justify that, finding it hard to believe that better off dead applies to one who is blind and deaf but otherwise doesn’t seem to be in any pain.  I keep thinking that down the road a bit in this paradise of California, I just might get my turn to ‘die with dignity’ and I tell you right now, I'm gonna kick 'n scream 'n might even piss my pants...
